The Federation of Nepali Journalists expresses profound sorrow over the heavy loss of life and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and neighboring districts due to devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River. During this severe crisis, the Federation urgently demands that the government deploy all state capabilities, putting the safety of flood-hit citizens first.

We also call upon all relevant stakeholders to join hands in searching for the missing, rescuing those stranded, and ensuring proper medical care for the injured. We urge all journalists and media platforms to aid these relief efforts by delivering accurate information.

We appeal to everyone to report verified facts while observing strict safety protocols and professional journalism ethics. The Federation offers its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wishes the injured a swift recovery.
