The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has expressed serious concern over the behavior exhibited on social media by Pawan Mandal, the Principal of Janata Secondary School in Giddha Belapatti, Dhanusha, against media persons. According to the Dhanusha branch of the Federation, Principal Mandal has been continuously using unseemly and objectionable language on social media, targeting journalists Sanjeev Mandal and Kashindra Sharma simply for writing news reports. The Federation strongly condemns and denounces such actions where a person holding a responsible position like a principal disregards professional dignity and misuses technology to defame the media and media persons.
The Federation demands that the relevant authorities investigate this incident, take necessary legal action against the culprit, and take strict measures to curb such actions against journalists and the journalism sector.
Furthermore, it urges journalists to remain responsible and strictly adhere to the journalists' code of conduct while fulfilling their journalistic duties.
