The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has been taking the initiative of negotiations, dialogue and agreement several times to implement the agreement reached on 7 August 2025 regarding the labor problem seen in the Nagarik daily.
After the latter did not implement the agreement considering the Federation's humility and request as a weakness, the Federation has given prior notice and has been protesting to put pressure on the implementation of the agreement.
In this context, a padlock has been placed outside the office of the Limited management today so that there is no disruption to publication and broadcasting. The Federation has been forced to lock down the office after the Limited management did not show flexibility in implementing the agreement through negotiations and dialogue despite the protests including sit-ins since Magh 4.
The Federation has resolved to continue the protest until the agreement is implemented. In this context, it has been decided to hold a protest on Friday, January 30, 2026 by sending an 'SMS' to the mobile phone of the Limited management to put pressure on the implementation of the agreement.
