FNJ President Bishnu Nisthuri Inaugurated the annual general assembly of Jhapa district branch of the Federation. In the same occasion Nisthuri handed over Shreejanshil Journalism Award, established in memory of late senior journalist S. L. Sharma, to Chandra Bhandari who is a former FNJ secretary general and managing director of Kanchanjunga FM. Hemanta Kafle, Treasurer of FNJ and central committee members Ramji Dahal, Sanjaya Ghimire and Surya Thapa also expressed their views at the program. During the visit, the FNJ leadership also organized a discussion program on the existing media policies and laws. The discussion program centered round the issue of restructuring the Nepalese media sector in the changed political context.
